The "Baby King" CD is the much-anticipated 2-track Christmas CD released in November, 2006 in response to numerous requests from both Christian music lovers and Christian radio stations for recorded versions of Steve's two Christmas songs. The CD includes the fully orchestrated 2006 studio versions of "Baby King" (extended version) and "Christmas Bells".

About the songs:

"Baby King" was written and first performed in the mid-nineties as a theatrically-flavored ballad of four verses, each one reflecting the perspective of a different figure in Christ's life. Verse one is from the perspective of a disciple at Calvary; verse two is from Mary Magdalene's experience with the Master; verse three is Peter on and near the Sea Of Galilee, and verse four is from the perspective of the thief on the cross beside our Saviour. Each verse culminates in the chorus, which expresses a wish to have been there in Bethlehem when Jesus was born, "right next to Him", singing with the Angels. This song is like none other of Steve's ballads, and has a powerful message of faith, salvation and freedom. We hope you will find it uplifting and full of reminders of Christ's incomparable gift.

"Christmas Bells" is a lighthearted and happy Holiday ballad which reminds us to include the wonder of the true meaning of Christmas in our busy and largely secular Holiday activities. The song is set amidst the warmth of the gathering of children around the tree and the presence of beloved family at Christmas time, and reminds us that, from His throne on high, the "Lord of Love stands by" as we celebrate His birthday.
